Sustainable food conference

🌱 An inspiring morning

Today, I had the opportunity to participate in Giverny de l’Alimentation , an event dedicated to the challenges of sustainable food and its value chain. The event brought together all the key players in the sector: public authorities, investors, associations, consulting firms, producers, processors and distributors.

Four key lessons shaping the future of our food:

🍽️ Accessibility above all else

Eating well should be a right, not a privilege. With food insecurity on the rise, collective catering is emerging as a major lever for ensuring quality food for all.

💡 Investing in health

Eating well is not an expense, it's an investment. The cost of junk food to our society? €17 billion in healthcare costs, social and environmental impacts. It's time for a paradigm shift.

♻️ Reducing waste, an ecological imperative

19% of food is wasted from farm to fork in France. This reality reminds us that one of the most effective solutions for reducing our environmental impact is already in our hands.

🌾 Agroecology in action

Initiatives are multiplying, driven by technical innovation. The challenge? Engaging consumers in this transition, not through guilt, but through conviction and support.

A big thank you to all the speakers for their insights and commitment to these issues that are crucial to our common future.

And you, what concrete actions are you taking to contribute to a more sustainable food system? 💬
